Um, things that change(?)
0.5 (I already wanted to roll back to pre 1.0 a long while ago but it was gonna be 4.2) 11/4/25 Added a boss for stage 2, broke some stuff, there's no shot audio, and shots are misaligned, I'm not fixing that. Tweaked a whole bunch, there's now different firing when focused. Probably a bunch more, it's been... like 6 months now. I can't remember but I hop on this not infrequently. Been working on other things a lot more lately though. Which is good, because a fresh start on other projects made me aware of how horrendously horribly built this game is. I originally slapped it together in a week to prove to myself I could do a game jam thing, which I could, but it turns out vaguely knowing to code and doing math at an above average level alone does not make you anywhere near a competent developer. Expect more to this though and eventually a huge art overhaul, I'm getting some stuff down pretty well to make plenty passable actual art. I'm not gonna actually touch anything already in-game or built though until a proper overhaul which this jank version will be archived then. So don't worry about anything like that if you're some weirdo seeing this and worried.
1.4.20- 5/18/25 I reworked and cleaned a bunch of stuff up behind the scenes, first level is slightly less of a slog and boss is better, added a web build. Not much more than that. Scoring is fucked now though, like there's way too much and I don't want to play enough to find out what to reasonably set the bonuses to, gonna be very bomb cheesable. Forgot, I also didn't set another button to pause, gotta just deal with that, and most importantly, I can't figure out how the hell lower the volume of the douchebag swarm guys, like seriously it's messed up. They're so loud and no matter what they stay that way, have no idea what the hell is going on with the audio there. One more edit, it's also only a web build for this one.
1.4 I made a boss for stage 1, he's pretty cool (I wish I'd put dates on here, kind of wish I knew how it was progressing. This is 11/30/24, the last one (1.3, first one I logged(1.2 might've been the first one actually, can't remember)) was 57 days ago)
1.3 Good bit of balance changes, reworked bomb, and fixed the menus that I broke last time somehow, probably gonna end up doing a good bit more here
1.2 Another not full balance pass, drops were made static and assigned to all waves, added on-hit noises and an expanding effect from the character to clear bullets, added easy mode which rebalances most stuff outside of enemy patterns
1.1 Full balance pass, extra big on the boss, and added invincibility to bomb (Invincible() wasn't actually making you invincible so that part didn't actually happen)
